Can I ask a favour from fellow writers?

Hi everyone. I know this is a little unorthadox, but I figured since it’s the memoir blog I’d bring this here.

Since beginning the memoir writing course, I’ve naturally been writing a lot of memoirs. An event happened in my teenage years that almost destroyed me, and I plucked up the courage to write about it, finally. I want to show someone, but I want to show a stranger, preferably a fellow writer, for feedback and constructive criticism, rather than someone I know who was involved and therefore have their own opinion of the event. I’d love it if someone could volunteer to give it a read and let me know how it is from an outsider’s perspective.

Writing it was painful, but I think essential and therapeutic. It’s one o’clock in the morning and I’m high off my face on prescription drugs, but it felt like the right time to talk about it. Anyone want to share my experience?

I’m prepared to give it a go and will be straight with you if you are happy to hear me say what I think.
