This is another subject I’m gona write about… Cancer<\/p>\n
I was 35 and trying to raise my son as a single parent, just existing from paycheck to paycheck. He was 8 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was shocked. I didn’t know anyone in my family that had had breast cancer. I was more worried about him than I was about myself.<\/p>\n
I knew my family would raise him and do a good job, but damn it, I wanted to do it. I had always wanted a child.<\/p>\n
One day, I said a very heart felt prayer, “Please God, let me live long enough that my son dosen’t need me anymore.” \u00a0He is 33 now and told me, “Mom, I will always need you.” I guess I will live forever then.<\/p>\n
7 years later, I developed cancer on the other side. I had chemo with the first one and a mastomecty on both sides. This experience has made me a more independent, stronger person.<\/p>\n
I realized about 2 years ago what my purpose on this earth is, I am a “helper”. I help other people with listening, talking and sometimes with a little money. (a dollar here and there).<\/p>\n
I can’t solve their problems. But, I listen to them bitch, gripe and complain.<\/p>\n
Every cancer patient knows that cancer can return anytime, anywhere. But, I choose to believe that I won’t get it again!<\/p>\n
I found out about 5 years later, that breast cancer does run in our family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
