Differences in Points of Views

I always felt that there is a difference in my mentality and the mentality of most of the people who are around me. In other words, I felt that I am a combination of both an eastern and western culture.

Whenever there was a discussion about anything, I always felt that I am expressing my point of view from a different angle, trying to reach what I believe is correct and acceptable. In other words, I did not follow the stereotypical way of thinking followed by everyone else. This has helped me to expand my thinking and deal with intellectual matters my way. This also has encouraged me to develop my critical thinking and try as much as possible to reach more reliable solutions at least from my point of view to whatever I want. I relate this to my father and my mother who gave me the freedom to look at matters from different aspects. In other words, I adopted their ways of thinking and added my own methods. I do not even remember that even once my father forced his own beliefs on me. He told me what he thinks of what we were discussing but, he gave me the freedom to think my way. I always felt that my space of thinking is without boundaries. I always felt that there were many things that I can do in spite of the fact that they were not acceptable to do or even uncommon to a high degree in society.
