Hello, Darling.
It’s me again.
It is Christmas Eve, 2022.
I am standing., looking out the front picture window.
While it is not snowing presently, snow abounds.
I will have my white Christmas.
I will also have a blue Christmas, once again, without you in my arms physically, always emotionally with me.
As I am looking at the streets, not totally snow covered, it puts me in memory of our first Christmas in Alaska.
Santa brought the kids remote control cars; a yellow one and an orange one I believe. You put thumbtacks on the wheels for traction.
I could look out our front window and see you and our three little ones racing their cars.
A sweet memory that still brings a smile to my face, a tear to my eyes, and a tender tug to my heart.
We never imagined a Christmas without you; reality hit hard just before Christmas three years later.
Christmas has never been quite the same.
Now, so many years have passed, since that dreadful reality; however, those memories continue.
We remain together in our hearts, as I know that your are always watching over us from your Heavenly Home Above.
Merry Christmas in Heaven My Yankee Airman.
All my love,
Your Southern Belle
